A well established Australian based company is a manufacturer and retailer of products to the building and home improvement industry pursuing an aggressive national and international expansion strategy.

Now, we are looking for a foreign trade assistant in Shanghai Jiading

Reporting to general manager, the role involves daily exporting and importing paperwork and communicating with shipping agents, purchasing, , logistic; and product sourcing, price negotiating, quality checking, supplier development in merchandising; and daily interpreting for Australian managers.

This is an excellent career opportunity and will be attractive to candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the international field.

Requirements:

1. Tertiary or above education in international trading or export and import business, or business English.

2. At least two years’ experience in handling export and import paperwork on a daily basis. Understanding the custom rules, export and import rules, certification on fumigation and commodity inspection, and export custom rebates. Experience in merchandising and quality inspections is an advantage.

3. Very strong negotiation skills as the role requires negotiating with suppliers for the best price and service.

4. Very fluent English is a must and the role requires communication with Australian managers on a daily basis, to act as a translator in daily business communications.

5. Willing to travel from time to time to meet and prequalify potential suppliers and approve quality prior to shipment.

6. Must have excellent computer skills.

7. Must be enthusiastic, reliable, self confident and honest.

Training on our business will be provided and an excellent salary package will be offered. References will be requested by interviewers.
