NDT Quality Engineer

Sandvik Mining, a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and

The position would directly report to: Quality Director

Job Purpose:

·Supervise Supplier NDT Testing of Welding quality.

·Guide Factory NDT inspector's inspection ability as well as NDT Tester at supplier side.

Key Performance Area:

·Be capable of developing, qualifying, and approving procedures, and establishing and approving techniques of WPS/WPQR from supplier side during steel Fabrications Prototype Stages.

·Interpreting welding process related and welding test related codes, standards, specifications and procedures.

·Designate the particular NDT methods, techniques and procedures to be used according to related drawing or actual product usage environment.

·Have sufficient practical background in heavy industry fabrication and product technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance criteria when none are otherwise available.

·Be capable of training and examining NDT Level I and II personnel for certification in the methods which he/she is qualified for Factory NDT and supplier NDT inspectors.

Your profile:

·College level above, major in Welding is a plus, at least in Mechanical, Casting or Electro Mechanical.

· Be familiar with DIN/EN/ISO/Chinese welding standard and welding process specification (WPS/WPQR), and related NDT Inspection criteria.

·At least 3 years Practical experience in steel structure and welding quality control as well as NDT(UT/MT/PT) inspection.

·Good knowledge in international welding inspection and testing.

·Be able to analysis and handle welding and quality problems.

·Good in communication and be able to lead a cross functional team to solve different kinds of welding quality problems.

·With at least 3 years' welding, casting NDT inspection experience in the field of steel fabrication of heavy industry.

·UT Level III Certification, MT Certification, PT Certification, CWI or IWE Certification is an advantage.
