This position is to provide technical support to protect and grow Dow Corning, Performance Industry, Textile business in Great China, through application engineering/development and technical service. The main responsibilities for this position include:

- Monitor and understand market trends, customer needs and competitive activities to help shape business strategies.
- Interface with customers to understand unmet needs, and translate customer application requirements into Dow Corning material requirements by developing the understanding of structure-property relationship.
- Closely work with Marketing and Product Development teams, support to offer modified and new Dow Corning solutions to meet customer unmet needs.
- Extend the existing Dow Corning products to new applications and markets to meet customer unmet needs.
- Closely work with Sales team, provide technical service to assist customers in using Dow Corning products and resolve customer technical inquiries and quality complaints, to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide application and technical trainings to internal commercial teams, and external customers and channel partners.
- Act as a technical representative from Dow Corning in customers’ technical community, promoting Dow Corning solutions on customer events and tradeshows with external presentations and publications.

Qualification & Competencies:

-Minimum bachelor degree in chemistry or material
-Minimum 5 year working experience in textile industry, silicone knowledge preferred
-Customer focus, dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers
-Action and result oriented, steadfastly push self and others for results
-Good communication and presentation skills
-Ready to travel (up to 50%)
