Application Group Leader

Report to: China Site Manager

As a group leader, the selected candidate will lead a team of 5-8 R&D employees. He/She is expected not only to provide scientific expertise and leadership for the ongoing projects, but also to propose valuable initiatives to expand the company business. He/She needs to work with internal R&D team, corporate product related teams as well as local customers and partners to ensure the smooth delivery of products.

Job Description:

Establish and Lead a group of researchers and scientists for the antibody based validations and application developments, includes but not limits to Western blotting, ELISA, Immunoassay IHC etc;
Work with other R&D and MFG teams in Shanghai and Hercules to develop Bio-Plex assays and related products; optimize product delivery process and ensure on time project delivery;
Develop, track and manage detailed development program timelines, resource and budget allocations, deliverables and milestone progress, including critical path dependencies;
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project sub-teams to ensure progress according to budget and timelines;
Provide support to the management team on project updates or reports as needed; Closely communicate with people in science, business, and manufacturing within and outside the company;
Assist China Site Manger in accomplishing other R&D duties related of mAbs.

Requirements:

Ph.D. in biological sciences, preferred in immunology, with a minimum 3 years of experiences is required. Industrial and/or oversea experience is a plus;
Proven capabilities in managing research staff in daily activities and demonstrated abilities in handling multiple projects in a cross-functional team;
Strong technical experience with exposure to pharmaceutical, biotech industries product development;
Strong people management skills with leadership quality;
Excellent communication and presentation skills in oral and written English are required;
Well-organized, task-orientated, and self-motivated.
