Key challenges/specific functions:

Pre Contract
? To audit existing customer operations, analyze data, understand customers future business strategy and develop design level
? To develop models that reflect the customer’s business and highlight the effects of proposed system.
? To develop alternative concepts, which best meets the customer’s requirements and is within Dematic’s capabilities and which meet divisional objectives.
? Provide concept design and layout support to sales staff as required.
? Transfer requirements to D&E team, supervising drawing, support internal review of technical and price.
? To participate in increasing the collective knowledge of the group, both technical and competitive.
? Evaluate proprietary tools available for analysis and modeling. Provide recommendations for Dematic to invest in such tools.
? Develop understanding of WMS functionality and application.
? Manage consultancy projects to budget, on time, satisfying the customer’s objectives.
? Preparation of proposals and tender submissions in conjunction with sales staff.
? Write the Description of Operation for projects.
? System presentations to customers, explaining details of the solution and how it meets the customer’s requirements.

Post Contract
? Review functional specifications for system software.
? Monitor & audit final implementation and performance of system to ensure customer requirements have been met.
? Ensure smooth and complete handover of contracts and orders to designated project manager.


General
? Maintain awareness and understanding of available techniques and technology.
? Monitor competitive products/initiative & application opportunities to recommend additions/deletions
/enhancements to product range to build leadership in existing or emerging markets.

Knowledge/Experience/Education Background:

? Bachelor degree in Mechanical/ Engineering/automation or equivalent
? Around 5 years of work experience in design or engineering, experience in industrial equipment is preferable
? Ability to anaylse data and use outputs for system design.
? Competent use of MS Office and AutoCAD applications.
? Good knowledge of design & engineering in automated material handling system/equipment
? Good knowledge of commercial terms in tender/bid/proposal files.
? Good communication and interpersonal skills, convicting and persuasive, able to establish effective work relationship across boundaries
? Good command of Chinese and English skills (both written and verbal)
? Good planning skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks well
? With high flexibility, adaptive to new and changing demands and situation
? Customer focus and relationship skills.
