Purpose of the function:

This person is responsible to ensure that suppliers of machine components fulfil IKEA Component requirements – technical, price, qualitative and environmental. Assembling and installations shall be done according to the CE-standard that is required. Work with constant improvements in our production unites and with development of new technical solutions and innovations related to the packaging production and packaging technique

ASSIGNMENTS (main responsibilities) max 10 points

·Participate in the development of new technical solutions and innovations for packaging production and packaging technique

·Implementing more efficient solutions on existing machinery

·Secure product information (manuals) together with suppliers

·Work with cost consciousness according to IKEA way

·Work with streamlining in production units related to ICOMP's business with main focus on machines and equipment used by our internal ICOMP production unites

·Actively work with material and technical components development

·Increase production efficiency in packaging processes (Actively work with a better production economy)

·Take responsibility in project that Engineering Group is involved

·Responsible for purchase of machine parts and components as well as consumption material for EG on the global as well local as market

·Secure that supplier performance corresponds with our demands

·Able to participate on assembling and installation of machines and follow the assembling schedules

MEASUREMENTS

(Key figures to measure the implementation of these assignments)

·Production efficiency and productivity of new machines

·Lead time – from order to delivery

·Price development on machines assembled and installed by EG

·Production disturbance in production units

·Qualitative parameters of packaging technique

(Other measurements used for EG-performance evaluation are to be developed in accordance to BPL)

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge

? Technical degree or equal working experience

? Coming from the Industry – very good Production, Mechanical and Electrical/Pneumatically knowledge

? Negotiating skills and knowledge of purchasing processes

? Ability to focus on teamwork - project experience

? Good knowledge in creating, reading and understanding technical drawings

? Good knowledge in 3D-drawing

? Fluent in English

? MS-office (Word & Excel), AUTOCAD

? Experience of building Packing machines, vibration feeding system or little more high tech machines like KD shrink machines is a plus

IKEA Components develops component solutions for products that carry the IKEA name. We are purchasing and supplying raw materials and furniture components. Two of our major aims are uniqueness and customer friendliness.

The business of IKEA Components embraces the findings of new solutions, purchase and sales of raw material; development, purchase, distribution and sales of furniture components as well as packing bags of furniture fittings.
