JOB OBJECTIVES:
· Lead the regional team for Development & Application Technology for agrochemical additives in Asia Pacific
· Develop new products and formulation concepts, introduce and provide technical support to our customers in Asia Pacific, identify and develop new business opportunities
· Responsible for all technical activities and projects related to our Care Chemicals activities in ingredients for agrochemical formulations in Asia Pacific
· Responsible for setting-up and developing the appropriate resources, know how network and projects to support the agrochemical additives business in the region.
· Responsible to drive new product and formulation developments and customer projects in the area of agrochemical additives
· Responsible to participate and represent Asia Pacific in the Global Technology Platform Agro

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide technical support for the existing and newly developing agrochemical additives business in the region
· Identify additional market and customer potentials for agrochemical additives in existing applications and develop new business opportunties in alignment with Marketing and Sales
· Identify innovation potentials for agrochemical additives and proactively share with the global platform
· Define product and/or application development projects in alignment with Marketing and execute according to the project plan and the global R&D processes.
· Build-up/ strengthen the appropriate application technology, performance testing facilities and Know How at the Innovation Campus Asia Pacific as the regional center of expertise for agrochemical additives and in the defined local Application Expert Centers in Asia Pacific
· Lead the regional technical team and labs for agrochemical additives
· Establish a regional know how network for agrochemical additives and ensure the interlink with the global know how network
· Build relationship to relevant universities and scientific institutions, associations and government bodies and initiate appropriate collaborations for access to information, new technologies and new application developments
· Secure IP-position and support management of global patent portfolio in the field
· Consult to marketing based on technical expertise in the field and contribute to the further strategy development for the agrochemicals additives business in the region
· Provide training support for sales, marketing and technical teams

REQUIREMENTS:
· PhD in chemistry, 10+ years of experience in R&D, 5+ years of experience in R&D for agrochemicals formulations
· Experience and successful track record in project management and formulation development
· Excellent English communication skills
· Expertise in applications of agrochemical additives
· Good knowledge of Care Chemicals technologies and product portfolio
· Ability to quickly understand customer’s needs and to derive opportunities for our products
