Title: GL Manager
Reports to: Finance Manager
Direct Report/s: GL Accountants
Position Summary :
Implement appropriate accounting practices to ensure related financial reporting and accounting entry are in compliance with company policy as well as local statutory requirements. Assist Finance Manager in standardizing, documenting and executing financial policies, procedures and controls in accordance with corporate guidelines and compliance with local regulations for process of G/L and closing.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Maintain G/L Master Data of Chart of Account, AAI and DMAAI accurately; Streamline the process of account master data and provide training to accounting team or other functions such as business planning and brand;
2. Be responsible for GL accounts including inter-company, fixed assets, payroll accruals and rental accruals etc.;
3. Work closely with accounting team to ensure the closing deadline can be met and maintain the closing checklist;
4. Perform Balance Sheet analysis report before monthly submission;
5. Submit monthly BS, PL load file to NY and reconcile to GL balance;
6. Work closely with accounting team for Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and be responsible to ensure the deadline of Key Account and Non Key Account can be met and check completeness of the reconciliation against monthly trial balance;
7. Prepare monthly statutory financial report such as B/S and P/L;
8. Assistant Finance Manager to build up the G/L function;
9. Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Controller for G/L and closing process and procedure improvement. Develop local accounting policies and practice notes based on global accounting policy. Provide relevant training to the company and accounting team;
10. Coordinate statutory audit, tax audit and SOX audit;
11. Take on special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements / Qualification :
1. University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics;
2. Minimum 8 years working experience in a similar role in MNC, with 2-3 year supervisor experience, prefer 2-3 year big 4 accounting firm experience;
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and integrated accounting software system, preferably SAP;
4. Good knowledge in US GAAP and PRC GAAP;
5. Good written and spoken English communication skills;
6. Good interpersonal skills;
7. Good team player;
8. Being able to work independently and under pressure.
