Position Summary

Title:
Manager, Sourcing & Procurement

Description:
The Manager, Sourcing & Procurement will be responsible for leading and managing operations of a Sourcing & Procurement Team focusing on a set of commodities. This individual will be responsible for coordinating initiatives to support the Shanghai Disneyland Resort.

The Manager, Sourcing & Procurement will recommend strategies and priorities to continually improve the process of sourcing and procurement. The Manager will also ensure consistency in approach, the quality and depth of analysis, during the strategic sourcing process.

The Manager, Sourcing & Procurement will be accountable for leading business unit sourcing initiatives that drive reductions in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) without compromising business strategy and performance.


Reporting Relationship:
The Manager, Sourcing & Procurement will report to the Director, Sourcing & Procurement.

Key Accountabilities

Coordinate strategic sourcing initiatives that consider all business drivers and their impact on operations, customers and competitors
Evaluate total cost/supply chain management analyses to identify opportunities to reduce TCO
Manage strategic sourcing processes, including market assessments, RFP and bid strategy development
Assist in supplier negotiations and contract development for goods and services
Interface with Shanghai Disneyland Resort stakeholders to fully understand key drivers of sourcing group
Leverage synergy opportunities across functions and businesses
Participate in SHDL and BU planning processes
Manage staff and drive internal skill/capability development to broaden and build their skill sets and capabilities
Provide appropriate rationale and context to drive commitment
Engages colleagues across the organization to optimize performance
Communicate sourcing status and results to Director
Translates strategy into specific priorities, objectives and action plans
Support Director in working with suppliers to help identify and resolve issues an improvements and cost savings opportunities
Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers
Demonstrate best practice supplier management and sourcing/supply chain practices across SHDL

Demonstrated knowledge of the global market drivers that control and influence product prices
Excellent working knowledge in a particular commodity or a series of commodities.
Strong knowledge of the Chinese, Southeast Asian and International supply base .
Experience working with both a centralized product development team and individual unit operations.

Desired Qualifications:
5-10 years experience in leading/managing strategic sourcing team focused on hospitality or food service in a multi-tiered supply chain environment.
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or another quantitative discipline preferred
Internal/external business consulting experience desired
Mandarin language proficiency

Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel (position may require up to 25% travel)
Position is located in Shanghai, China
