BROAD FUNCTIONS :
(a) To manage Failure Analysis activities on all HDD related failures received from external customers in a timely manner.
(b) To manage HDD related quality and reliability performance improvement activities.
(c) To manage tactical / daily operations of the Customer Failure Analysis team and Customer Field Applications Failure Analysis teams in Shanghai and Taiwan.
(d) To engage WW functional groups related product improvement initiatives (such as product DRD, test strategy and methodology, crisis management etc)

RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Regular Duties / Responsibilities:
(a) Manage failure analysis / field applications testing activities for HDD product improvement initiatives.
(b) To work with FIT / Firmware Engineering to establish suitable test suite for field compatibility testing complementing FIT functions.
(c) To work with WW Failure Analysis teams to drive FA to root cause.
(d) Collaborate with WW functional groups (such as Sustaining Program Management team, Product Engineering, etc) to drive HDD activities for DPPM reduction and Reliability improvement.
(e) Lead / Formulate test strategy and methodology change initiatives to improve test coverage.

2. Irregular Duties / Responsibilities:
(a) Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Educational Required : Master / Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Skill :
Experiences Required : At least 7 years experience in a related Engineering field, preferably in a lead position.
Other Requirement : Good spoken and written command of English. Good communicator.
