Product Line: lighting/灯具 or electrical items.




GENERAL MISSION:

Dedicated mainly to a business unit or a technical field (or both), the quality engineer is primarily focused on ensuring the safety and compliancy with all applicable standards and regulations of the range of products he’s in charge of. He is responsible for reliability and quality related issues with suppliers / factories, third part labs in coordination with AIE quality department in France.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

？ Ensure the safety and compliancy with all applicable standards and regulations of the range of products he’s in charge of:

- Organize and perform the quality collection review in China;

- Participate to the tripartite meeting with supplier, third party lab and AIE China;

- Check that the third party lab has well settled standards and compulsory markings applicable at item level (quality statement);

- Inform the third party lab about special regulations defined by countries to be formalized on the quality statement according to the information given by AIE quality department in France;

- Estimate the quality cost to set product in conformity during the technical construction file (TCF) anticipation if the negotiation fails because of financial matters;

- Is in support to his business unit team and supplier in case of technical issues;

- Validate the quality part on the technical sheets when updated;

- Perform TCF random control checking;

- Ensure the conformity of the product batch inspected with support in case of technical issues with suppliers: perform pass / pending PSI report random control checking and handle all failed PSI report with dispatch to commercial team in case of commercial issues;

- Handle the exceptions out of the process regarding TCF, inspections, etc. upon the approval of the quality manager;

- Report performance of third part labs and assess randomly external audits and pre shipment inspections (PSI), set up and follow up through corrective action plans (CAP);

- Be aware of standards, norms, quotas, export measures, and all changes related to quality.



？ Ensure the functionality and performance of the range of products he’s in charge of according to customers’ requirements;

- Inform the supplier and the third part lab to settle the level of functionality and performance according to the information requested by AIE / AP QD in France;

- Ensure the functionality and performance of the product batch inspected;



？ Coordinate and communicate with other departments and suppliers

- Communicate with other relative departments in AIE / AP France and China;

- Maintain the best working relationship with all internal departments;

- Support the commercial team on all quality issues (commercial team must keep informed the quality engineer in case of issues);

- Perform a random checking of order follow-up;



？ Support missions (under the request of commercial department):

- Perform compliance gap analysis (CGA) for product difficult to be settled and supplier global assessment (SGA); set up and follow up through CAP and vendor scorecard; CGA and SGA are performed upon product manager’s request and after validation of the sourcing department manager and quality manager;

- Go with buyers to visit factories to advise them about quality / social and environment compliancy and so manage them prior to sourcing.

- Train vendors in AIE quality procedures and assist them in improving design, materials / components procurement;

- Help to improve reliability of products and AIE suppliers in case of demand from commercial department.




TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

§Education Background:

- Degree: College degree and above

- Major: Technical Engineering (preferred)



§Minimum Experience:

- 3 years relative experience (with 1 year in a lab as testing engineer or certificate engineer)



§Language:

- Fluent spoken and written English

- Other European language (Spanish, Italia, Russian, French…) is a plus



§Computer Skills:

- Familiar with Microsoft office



§Compulsory Licence / Certification:

- Quality certificate (preferred)
