Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities
* Research and product development on advanced power electronics technology across GE business such as Healthcare, Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Lighting.
* Propose new ideas, define research scope and plan, prove feasibility and transfer technology to engineering on schedule. Document, present research results and develops IP.
* Interact with product management and customers to identify and distill requirements into specifications for research topics.
* Develop credits and networks internally within GE with customers and stakeholders and externally outside GE with technical professional communities.
1. 针对通用电气各业务集团（包括医疗、能源管理、石油和天然气、照明等）在全球市场上的业务需要进行技术研究和产品开发
2. 与产品部门和客户一起定义技术需要和研发课题，提出创新的解决方案，制定研究计划
并按期实施，验证可行性并协助进行产品转化。
3. 同通用电气内部和外部的相关学术机构建立良好的联系。

Qualifications/Requirements
* Ph. D or Master (above 3 working experiences) with strong research experience in power electronics, power conversion and circuits from an accredited university.
* Solid expertise on power electronic devices, circuits, topologies and control system.
* Strong capability to build prototypes, experimentation on systems, and bench
testing
* Good English communication skill, team work
1. 电气工程或相关专业的博士或硕士学位 (3年以上工作经验)，具备电力电子、功率变换或电工电路领域的研发经验
2. 深刻理解电力电子器件、电路、拓扑和控制，具备良好的理论基础和实践技能
3. 具备开发实验样机、系统实验和测试的能力
4. 良好的英语沟通能力和团队合作

Desired Characteristics

* Demonstrated great leadership potential, project management skills and well

* Following experiences will be significant plus：
1. Switching-mode power supply, analog circuits and high frequency power converter
2. Modeling, test and application of power semiconductor and passive components
3. Power electronics prototype PCB layout, debug and testing skills.

GE中国研究开发中心（CTC）是GE公司四个全球研发中心之一，是跨业务集团、跨研究领域的研发机构，为GE各业务集团提供基础科学研究、新产品开发、工程开发和采购服务。

中心坐落于上海张江高科技园区，占地面积47,000平方米，于2003年5月投入使用，是国内最大的独立外资研发机构之一，也是国内极少数具有基础科学研究能力的企业研发中心。

GE中国研发中心现有研发人员1400多人，60多个拥有世界一流设备的实验室，其研究力量主要集中在以下领域：

• 清洁能源，包括洁净煤、风电、太阳能发电等；
• 水处理与海水淡化；
• 材料科学，包括纳米材料、晶体、陶瓷，材料分析；
• 电力电子和实时控制；
• 先进制造技术；
• 影像技术；
• 化学技术，如导电高分子，电化学技术;
• 传感与检测技术；
• LED照明；
• 交通运输等

GE中国研发中心每年完成100多个研究项目。截至2009年底，GE在中国的研发人员共申请了450余项专利。
