Responsibilities:

• Report to Engineering Director of SDC.
• Regular customer visit with sales team solenoid project acquisition.
• Technical interface during project acquisition and development coordination.
• Create product proposal during acquisition and push for target costing.
• Follow process to create product specification through external and internal alignment.
• Development coordinator in China together with global team during project implementation.
• Act as technical expert to provide necessary technical support to customers during their solenoid-related system development.
• Identify development issue during project implementation, and discuss to solutions together with global counterparts.
• Discuss / communicate technical status / issues with global team during project implementation.
• Product benchmark and reporting.
• Cooperate with global engineering team in Coopersville and manufacturing team in Suzhou Plant.
• Team management task.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree; major in mechanotronics background.
• Understand basics of hydraulic systems, in particular transmission or engine oil systems.
• Can understand pressure / current curves and a solid understanding of hysteresis and other hydraulic terms.
• Direct working experience on solenoid products will be a plus.
• Chinese as primary language, but solid professional English language skills.
• Good Customer interface skills, solid negotiation skills.
• Experience working in a customer environment (and without sales supervision).
• Good technical communication skills.
• Good English skill sets w/ at least CET-4.
• 5 years minimum automotive experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally, and to be trained for up to 3 months at a time.
• Willing to continuously learn new technologies.
• Mentoring and coaching capability.
• Experience with project management and market research & analysis will be a plus.
