Position Summary:
The Application Analyst will provide knowledge and expertise in the area of HR Information System (HRIS), SharePoint, Intranet and Extranet (Portal) applications; will contribute technical knowledge for the business as it relates to all HRIS and web application initiatives ( Share Point Platform) at the BorgWarner China.
This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining HRIS and SharePoint based OA workflows and requirement needs, will work closely with BorgWarner HQ IT application team to leverage existing global process and applications, will work closely with BorgWarner China business departments to analyze business needs and provide suitable solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsibility of projects deliverables and technical support for HRIS (Including payroll and attendance, global workday interface etc.) and SharePoint within web environment
Designs, develops, debugs, produces, refines, tests, deploys, maintains and documents HRIS/ SharePoint/Web solutions using customized as well as out-of-the-box functionality including web parts, InfoPath forms, templates and master pages
Communication with business departments to understand and analyze requirements, Designs solutions that accurately reflect business requirements and provide innovative solutions for customer (user) needs within defined time and cost constraints
Participant regularly in global application collaboration meeting, research existing global workflows and make them applied in China.
Participates in the architectural design, development customization and integration efforts of solutions involving collaboration, portals, content management, business process and forms.
Provides technical expertise to other SharePoint developers and HRIS end users within the organization
Acts as a technical resource to users, customers and other team members
Provides production support and maintains existing systems by researching and troubleshooting any technical problems or end-user issues
Keeps customers informed of progress and works to quickly and efficiently bring user issues to resolution
Responsible for developing functional and technical specifications, where applicable
Create and maintain documentation necessary to ensure successful implementation and support of the HRIS requirement change and web environment
Provide HRIS and SharePoint (Web) based application and process training to all users within BorgWarner China
Qualifications & Requirements:
BA/BS Computer Science or related field
3 + years working in Information Technology
2 + years in HRIS project experience
Hands-on development experience using C#, .NET Framework or Share Point Developing, Web Services, SQL server 2005/2008 and ASP.NET
Experience with sizeable HR systems is highly preferred, e.g. Platinum, Kayang, Cityray etc.
Windows .net framework, Web services, SQL server
Communication skill is needed to interface with business and internal & external colleagues.
Good English writing and speaking
