Position: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Working Location: T20-2 building,565 Chuang Ye Road,Pudong , Shanghai. Shuttle Bus Offered.

Key Responsibilities
Individual must be able to travel domestically and internationally, and will be responsible for the following:
? Applies Quality Engineering knowledge to provide Technical Evaluations and problem solving using the Advanced Quality planning tools. Ie. PFMEA’s, PPAP, R & R studies, Process Capability Studies, etc.
? Evaluates and conducts "process", "product" and "quality systems" audits with the internal and external supply base in order to develop and implement Quality Plans and methods that will ensure suppliers are capable of meeting Rockwell Automations expectations.
? Track the Quality performance of assigned internal and external Suppliers and commodities. Initiate Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs).
? Identify and support productivity and process improvements within the Supplier Quality business process. Lead and support initiatives for continuous improvement.
? May lead maintenance and enhancements to the quality system consistent with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 Quality System and 14000 Environmental Standards.
? Utilize the Quality Information Systems to access and analyze key information on manufacturing yields, defects, audits, and customer information.
? Understands, initiates, supports, & approves Deviation Authorizations, Waivers, CAP’s, ECN’s, and PCNs to meet the business unit objectives.
? Analyzes field return information for trends and identify areas for quality improvement.
? Initiates and oversee Stop Production/Hold Shipment orders for compliance and completion.
? Provide quality-related training as needed for Suppliers and other RA personnel.
? Leverages expertise with Production, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Development to ensure process controls and product specifications meet or exceed requirements and that quality issues are being tracked and resolved.
? Provides Quality Leadership to support active quality best practices, application of metrics, compliance to procedures and specifications, Continuous Improvement Processes, Business Objectives, CSMIP and Lean Projects.
? Identify training/development needs within the SQA department.
? Conducts training on Quality Engineering and Inspection methods, concepts and tools.
? May indirectly supervise personnel to provide day to day support for department and business issues and objectives. In addition, helps train department personnel in areas of workmanship standards and product/process evaluations to assure the highest of standards.
? May lead or supervise Product Transfers to other Rockwell facilities or manufacturers.
? Formulates or helps formulate Quality Engineering policies and procedures.
? May assist in the maintenance of expenses of the department within approved budgets/limits.
? Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
? Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
? Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO9000, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

Typically 5-8 years experience in an electrical/electronic manufacturing/supplier/quality engineering function. Typically 3-5 years of varied quality, production, or design engineering related process experience in an electronic or electro-mechanical manufacturing industry. Demonstrate knowledge of ISO 9000, Supplier Quality Auditing Practices, and Quality Systems. Apply strong knowledge of metrology, manufacturing and quality control standards and procedures. Familiarity with power electronics, product qualification and reliability desired.
? BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
? Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred
? ASQ Certified Quality Engineer desirable
? English fluency required
