Blizzard Entertainment China, located in Shanghai is looking for a quality assurance (QA) supervisor to manage the staff and daily operations of its Simplified Chinese quality assurance team. The ideal candidate for this position has a thorough knowledge of the video game industry, game production and development, and software testing principles and procedures. This person also has several years experience managing QA staff and will be an internationally minded English speaker with excellent organizational skills and a positive / winning attitude.

Responsibilities

? Mentor personnel to facilitate growth within the department and company -- provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when necessary.
? Ensure all employees receive monthly feedback via structured one on ones.
? Support all platform services and Blizzard Entertainment employee developmental programs.
? Maintain all management database tools and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate efficiency and make changes as necessary.
? Work closely with training group to assure training team is knowledgeable on any changes and incorporate them into workshops.
? Interview, test, hire, and assist with training full-time and temporary employees.
? Ensure employees are properly rewarded via our recognition programs, track employee attendance, and verify timesheets for accuracy.
? Enforce human resources and departmental policies and procedures.
? Help to contribute to a positive work environment and handle other duties as assigned.

Requirements

? A minimum of 2 years project lead or supervisory experience and proven track record managing small to medium size teams (5-15 employees)
? A minimum of 5 years related QA working experience in the game or software industry
? Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
? Above-average knowledge of all standard industry software packages
? Able to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.
? Strong verbal and written English / Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) communications skills
? Impeccable organizational and time management skills and an absolute passion for video games
