Specific Responsibilities
1. Develop Magnetic component manufacturing process audit checklist and Lead Supplier Audit teams in the region. Researching new suppliers and carrying out Supplier Evaluations.
2. First Article approval with PPAP tools.
3. To manage ECRN implementation process with supplier and reduce the ECRN close lead time.
4. To manage “Continuous Quality Improvement” relating to product and manufacturing processes for all magnetic component suppliers in China, in support of the combined Plantweb Solutions Group business objectives.
5. Reduce 2nd tier suppliers and OEM manufacturing defects per hundred and drive corrective actions.
6. To expediently resolve supplier quality issues with 2nd tier suppliers in China.
7. Reduce Warranty returns and field failures through improving product robustness.
8. Analyze, determine root cause and implement corrective actions based on supply chain and customer feedback.
9. Drive effective corrective actions based on solid facts and data analysis.
10. Support resolution of quality problems.
11. Reduce the escape rate through improved component and product test methods and processes.


Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or an MBA and at least 3-5 years of related Supplier Quality Engineering experience in a technology driven Electronic OEM or EMS business, preferably with International global businesses.
2. Demonstrated understanding of magnetic electronic component manufacturing processes and a proven ability to drive continuous process improvement.
3. Self motivation, very good communication skills, computer literate, fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
4. Familiar with Magnetic Components (for example: transformer, inductor etc) manufacturing process, be able to lead process improvement with supplier to improve product quality, below component experience will be a bonus: other electronic components like resistor, capacity, relay, connector, IC etc.
5. Being able to communicate at all levels within the organization are essential to this position.
6. Strong analytical problem solving background.
7. Quality and Process improvements experience.
8. Being a team player who understands the needs and benefits of a successful team concept is essential.
9. Minimum 3 years within an Electronics manufacturing organisation in SQE or in Magnetic component manufacturing Production Engineering field.
10. Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills.
11. Willing and able to travel within and outside of China (as required) frequently.
