Position/Job Description:

The primary focus of this position is to provide strategic direction and leadership in the area of continuous improvement by developing and implementing the Husqvarna Operating System (HOS) within Asian sites

Essential Duties:

· Coordinate/support/lead HOS activities in Asian factories

· Coach factories regarding HOS structure, priorities, methods and tools

· Help develop general HOS roll out strategic plans, initiatives, activities, training and printed materials

· Feed issues & constraints specific to Asia into HOS program development

· Monitor/drive implementation plans in pursuit of plant goals, coach in KPI and project monitoring

· Lead/support workshops and events

· Participate in HOS core team meetings

· Conduct lean training

· Participate in plant-level performance reviews

· Govern HOS concept, standards, methods application across Asian facilities

· Coordinate/lead special projects supporting Asia as required

Preferred qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree (an advanced degree is preferred); plus eight (8) years of lean manufacturing experience, including 3 or more years of implementation experience across multiple sites; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

· Extensive training provided by a lean sensei is desired

· Lean manufacturing certification is desired

· Demonstrated continual education on the subject of lean manufacturing is desired.

Skills and Capabilities:

· Previous experience leading a lean transformation for factories and their supply chain flows is required

· Practical experience leading kaizen events and teaching and coaching lean manufacturing tools is required

· Practical experience implementing lean manufacturing tools is required

· High degree of technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, logistics flows and JIT is required.

· Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layer audits is required.

· Ability to influence-decision makers in the Husqvarna Group matrix organization even outside the Manufacturing and Logistics area

· Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to teach, coach and persuade in English and preferably in Chinese is required.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills, in addition to interpersonal, teamwork, and oral/written communication skills is required.

· Strong personal computer skills, to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office software applications.
