POSITION TITLE: Project Management (Group Related Projects)

DEPARTMENT: Group Business Management Office

REPORTS TO FUNCTION: Project Management Office

MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1.The position will serve as a consultative business partner to internal or external customer on project and business performance area. Responsible for the support and oversight of multiple projects in project execution, performance and risk evaluation area within Marketing and Sales
2.Research and leverage best-in-class project management and performance evaluation from auto industry and other industries
3.Responsible for the evaluation of current-state and designing future state project management system
4.Responsible for building advanced level project performance tracking standard to achieve business goals and streamline activities
5.Advise and collaborate with project teams in new business initiative and project management

RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS and CUSTOMERS

Main Tasks

1.Project Portfolio Management for Business Projects:
-Based on corporate strategic intent, conduct selective project management across assigned projects driven and led by VGC M&S
-Screen/assess assigned project proposals with project managers to identify risk affecting individual projects.
-Build project performance tracking standard
-Evaluate requested changes on project scope and communicate with related stakeholders
-Provide support (advise/collaborate etc.) to the project executives and other related departments regarding overall project management as well as individual/collective project activities
-Support EVP S&M to prepare workshops/seminars including:
oVS/MV
oVGC Workshop (with President)
oVGC Sales Steering Committee
oVGC BOM/China/EXCOM
2.Project Management Approach/methodology Development
-Research industry or other industries trends, best practices and improvement opportunities from all sectors so that process/technology projects can be fully optimized in delivering solutions and benefits to the business
-Select and prioritize among resource inter-related projects in many industries and sectors
3.Quality and Efficiency
-Verify areas for improvement within existing operation process via periodical meetings, workshops and high quality tracking report
-Enhance and ensure the project quality and process efficiency by working closely with business partners and clearly understanding business objectives for all projects
4.Project Scope Control and Evaluation
-Evaluate requested changes among projects
-Decide requested changes based on multi-factor process control
-Communicate a decision to impacted stakeholders
-Assess and approve deliverables
-Evaluate the project performance regarding the content quality (quality of the delivered results)

NECESSARY SKILLS

Necessary education:
-College education, master degree, MBA preferred
Personal skills:
-Ambitious, self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit
-Leadership and readiness to accept responsibility
-Excellent writing and oral communication skill
-Persuasive appearance and able to work under high pressure and stress
- Detail-oriented

Working experience (in years):
-5+ years of project management and / or consulting experience including use of project management tools
-Automotive industry experience
-Experience in multiple full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery
-Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Remarks (Language, IT-Knowledge, Certificates etc.):
-English and Chinese language skills, German advantageous
-Proficient in MS Office and MS Project
