Under the general supervision of the President, the Senior Merchandising Supevisor ensures that the fabric merchandising team achieves sales targets and cultivates and maintains healthy supplier-customer relations.
· Understand the marketing direction and customer’s requirements
· Capable of both long and short term planning with respect to identifying and developing fabric and monitoring sample production in accordance with customer requirements.
· Obtain competitive quotations from suitable mills and effectively convey this information to customers.
· Organize production planning and order details in conjunction with mills in a timely, accurate and complete fashion.
· Oversee each stage of the order tracking process; including yarn/greige/dyestuff supply, pre-production preparation and production process tracking so as to accurately run orders as per buyer quality and delivery requirements.
· Successfully negotiate with mills in the event of unforeseen complications and present viable alternatives to buyers.
· Prepare regular merchandising related reports to the M/S Director
· Manage and train merchandisers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
· University degree or equivalent, preferably in textile engineering or foreign trade.
· More than ten years of working experience in a related field.
· Possesses strong team leadership skills.
· Possesses strong business acumen, foresight and problem solving skills.
· Possesses a thorough knowledge of fabric trade and has a strong technical background.
· Possesses strong communication skills.
· Proficient in both oral and written English and in basic computer skills.
