Position: Sr. Purchasing Specialist (MRO)
Location: Shanghai

Job Responsibilities:
This position will be mainly responsible for strategic sourcing of MRO for Albemarle's plants in China.

? Identify, evaluate and select MRO suppliers for purchases
? Negotiate and execute contracts
? Manage and drive supplier performance/improvement
? Perform market research, develop and sell strategic sourcing plan of action to drive cost saving
? Identify major strategic purchasing opportunities
? Participate in special projects


Qualification Requirements:
? Bachelor or higher degree with major in Mechanical Engineering is required
? 10+ years of MRO purchasing experience in multinational/global company
? Experience in either plant operations, or process technology is a plus
? Must have proven negotiating experience with demonstrated ability to reduce costs
? Ability to work effectively with global cross-functional teams
? Excellent analytical evaluation and business skills
? Good command of English skills both in writing and speaking
? Trustworthy
? Travel is needed

Types of Items/Services Involved (for global sourcing requirements):

? Isotanks and Portable Tanks
? Plant mills supplies such as Pipes/Valves/Fittings, structural steel, tubing, hoses, etc.
? Packaging Supplies: Bulk Bags/Supersacks, Drums, pallets, etc.
? Major chemical equipment: Pumps/Motors, Reactors (Stainless, glass-lined), Heat Exchangers, dryers, etc.
? Service contracts: maintenance, water treatment, service workers, etc.
? Electrical and instrumentation
? Personal Protective equipment: clothing, gloves, respirators.
