The import/export supervisor will be responsible for the import and customs clearance of all inbound shipments. He/she will work with FedEx/DHL/UPS and their brokers to insure smooth and fast customs clearance and import of scientific equipment.

Responsibilities include:

? Lead a small import and export team perform a professional, safe, efficient and compliant daily operation for the products covering scientific equipment and components in China, including:
o Customs declaration process monitoring
o Commodity code classification
o Import and export licensing application management (mainly import)
o Transportation management according to insurance guideline
? Manage all import and export related payment, tax and customs duties with import and export authorities, carriers, and 3rd party logistics to ensure safe, efficient and effective transfer across China and overseas;
? As the key contact with local Import and Export Customs and other government authorities, local and international 3rd party logistics suppliers such as freight forwarders, I/E agent, broker and transporter;
? As the expert for urgent/critical import and export affairs handling;
? Coordinate temporary import or export of demonstration equipment for tradeshows
? Other projects and affairs as assigned by the management.

Requirements:

? Bachelor’s Degree or above
? At least 5 years’ air freight relevant product customs declaration experience.
Know well about the import & export business work flow and relevant government laws
? Experience with importing small shipments of scientific equipment
? Good English communication skills
? Customs license preferred
