In order to support the high speed growth, PEER China now invites high caliber personnel to take up the position of Finance Manager. The incumbent will lead the finance team to take care of two operating units – a sales unit and an internal trading & workshop centre, and will report to the General Manager of the respective operating units. The work location will be in Shanghai.
Job Summary
? The incumbent oversees the entire financial reporting process of the responsible units, providing accurate and timely financial data, control data, and financial statements reflecting operations of the unit as well as the financial position of the units.
? The incumbent will establish and monitor internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of the corporate assets of PEER; provide proactive decision support to the Management; and offer suggestions for operational improvement.
? The incumbent will also assist PEER China Management in pursuing its growth objectives by providing leadership and support in areas like systems development (such as ERP implementation) and standard cost development and measurement.
Key Responsibilities
? Assist Management in monitoring sales activity, sales forecasts, and pipeline development in order to help the sales unit achieve it high-growth objectives.
? Partner with Unit Management and Staff to analyze, assess and support investments and new business initiatives.
? Manage accurate and timely financial reporting ensuring complete integrity of Financial Statements and Management Reporting.
? Direct and drive the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and provide periodic detailed feedback on YTD performance compared to budget.
? Interact with external auditors, agencies and authorities in regard to financial, legal and regulation aspects.
? Manage the internal control platform and the fulfillment of items such as financial regulations, contract review, and customer/vendor creditworthiness assessments.
? Drive credit, cash flow and inventory management, including reconciliation and forecasting of SMI (slow moving inventory), inventory counting/inventory cutoff.
? Lead and develop the Finance team to perform financial activities proactively in support of the organizational goals and objectives.
? Collaborate with Information Services department to develop, implement and improve process to provide data necessary to evaluate the financial and operational performance as deemed necessary by the Management.
? Drive the implementation and improvement of the ERP system in the respective units.
? Drive cost reductions by assisting Management in operational reviews and by making efficiency improvement suggestions.
Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills
? Bachelor degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
? Familiar with export VAT Refund System and procedures
? Around 7 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, 4 years in a manager/ supervisor role
? Business oriented thinking and ability to contribute ideas to address business issues
? Strong interpersonal skills and effective cross-functional communication and influencing abilities
? Good at managing people – establish and communicate expectations, motivate individuals, and provide specific feedback
? Working knowledge of PC/ERP/database applications
? Good at managing multi-tasks
? Excellent command of written and verbal English
