In order to support the high speed growth, PEER China now invites high caliber personnel to take up the position of SQE Manager. The position will be located in Shanghai or Xinchang and report to the Director of Purchasing and Supply Chain.



Job Summary

· The SQE Manager's role is to develop capable supply base together with Commodity Manager to ensure consistency of supply of high good materials/products. This includes qualifying a new supplier to meet PEER quality standards, and leading the change for NPI PPAP process implementation.

· The SQE Manager is also responsible for planning and executing supplier annual audit, also initiating supplier development program for high potential suppliers who are strategically partners with PEER.



Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute supplier annual audit plan, follow up with suppliers for nonconformance and closure.

· Participate in NPI program with Commodity Manager, act as an independent key player for qualifying supplier management system and validating material/product quality and reliability through PPAP process.

· Collaborate with factory QC and procurement team to collect statistical feedback of material quality performance; identify both top 3 and bottom 3 suppliers for supporting supply base strategy development.

· Manage lessons learned from product predecessors, and proactively apply it for new successors.

· Establish supplier quality KPI, and continuously improve supplier quality performance through variation reduction and customer experience, and provide quality agreement inputs into supply contract.

· Lead the investigation for epidemic failure, and drive the material issue closure which is related with product field quality excursion.

· Develop robust final inspection process for T2 suppliers drop shipment, work closely with regional sales team to capture field failures for improvement.

· Drive preventive actions across all the suppliers by six-sigma methodology.

· Identify critical materials, help related suppliers for developing the best in breed manufacturing processes, and conduct regular process and lab audit to ensure quality and reliability meeting PEER expectations.

· Monitor and review critical supplier process yield loss and OBA data trend to prevent defective parts from escaping manufacturer quality control system.


Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills

· Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering

· Minimum 5 years relevant working experience, experience in bearing industry is a plus

· Familiar with ISO 9001 and TS 16949 requirements

· Good understanding of Six Sigma tools and methodology, GB or BB qualification is a plus

· Demonstrate service excellence attitude

· Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

· Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

· Persistent in resolving issues

· Must be able to travel 50% - 70% of the time domestically

· Proficient in both English and Chinese
