Job Description

General Summary:

We are seeking a scientist to assist in drug discovery and development projects using a variety of in vitro and in vivo approaches for functional analysis of candidate drug targets. The successful candidate will plan, execute and deliver results in a timely fashion as directed by the project leader. The candidate should have strong background in Immunology as well as Cellular and Molecular biology.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Molecular biology: PCR, RT-PCR, primer design, promoter methylation analysis.electrophoresis, chromatography, and various other techniques.
2. Cell culture, FACS, proliferation and migration assays.
3. Immune assays including ELISpot, ELISA, CTL assays.
4. Western blot analysis and immune-precipitation.
5. Biomarker assay development.
6. PC-based computer work including MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
7. In vivo Immune-based mechanism of action studies (mouse).
8. Data analysis using Prism and SigmaPlot.
9. Oral and written data presentation including notebook.
10. Expertise in Immunology and/or Cell Biology.
