The Data Platform Group (DPG, formally SQL Server team) in Shanghai, China is looking for a great software development engineer for security area.

The valuable insights and knowledge that modern companies thrive upon are hidden inside the growing mountains of data scattered around their enterprises. By far, the hardest part of extracting that business intelligence is the first step: turning that raw and difficult to reach or impossible to find data into a usable form and getting it into the hands of the people that want it. If you understand exactly what this means and why it is so hard, then your help is needed.

The Information Services (IS) organization in the DPG business is pursuing an ambitious and aggressive plan to solve this problem in a compelling and unique way. The DPG team in Shanghai is sitting in the center of that plan with focus on building solutions for Data Movement, Data Access & Governance challenges, and making on premises data access from cloud simple. Our team also advocates for and builds solutions for the IT Administrators and Professionals that in turn build and run their own information management systems.

As our security expert, you will be responsible for following items:

- Building security expertise in DPG Shanghai organization
- Driving security architecture designs
- Providing security best practices to various feature teams
- Mentoring and developing people on security development skills
- Driving reviews with external security team.
- You will partner with your discipline peers to define and drive strong engineering practices for designing, implementing and shipping secure and high quality software on iterative and fast paced schedules and will participate in cross team initiatives.

Candidates are expected to have following qualifications:
- Significant experiences in secure software development lifecycle, identity management, authentication and authorization in cloud, on-premise and hybrid scenarios.
- Proven track record of security expert role in large distributed systems or scalable backend services.
- Rich experiences on inspiring and leading by example across teams to deliver secure and high quality services and platforms on schedule.
- Great technical passion, terrific problem-solving skills, and passion to mentor and develop developers.
- A broad understanding of Azure services architecture and software engineering principles with a proven track record of innovation, quality and sustainability through full product cycles from product conception through to shipping.
- Superb communication and collaboration skills, able to influence peers and partners. Frequent cross continent communication and some travels are needed.
- 10+ years of software development experiences.
- Bachelor degree in computer science is required. Master degree or PhD in related areas is a plus
- Knowledge of Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Enterprise IT operation or Windows Azure Active Directory is a plus
