Position Description

· Form 'Pizza Teams' with Developers and manage the 'soup-to-nuts' testing of a functional domain of the technology platform

· Write Test Plans and test cases (automated) by thorough review of Requirements (PRD) and TDD/DDD

· Working closely with the Development and Tools teams to achieve a high level of code coverage

· Strong emphasis on ‘reliability’, ‘availability’, ‘scalability’

· Improve, optimize, and identify opportunities for improved software development lifecycle

· Support continuous process improvement and innovation

· Establish ‘Zero Touch’ Automation suites/frameworks

· Work with the Tools team to build next-gen Monitoring and Alerting frameworks

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

· 5 – 7 years experience testing highly distributed, complex eCommerce Platforms

· At least 2 years hands-on scripting (automation) experience in any of the following languages – JAVA, Python, Ruby, Groovy, or similar

· Experience testing RESTful/SOAP webservices

· Experience in front end automation technologies like Selenium-RC (Web-driver), Watir or similar

· Experience with Agile Methodologies, SDLC and testing methodologies, including functional, regression and system testing

· Experience testing software at API level

· Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases and browser capabilities and constraints

· Experience working with messaging frameworks/products such as Tibco EMS

· Strong knowledge of Unix

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Proactive problem solver

Preferred Qualifications

· White box testing using JUnit/TestNG

· Hands-on experience with Eclipse or other IDE development tools

· Experience testing ‘web-app’ containers such as Web Logic, Web Sphere, Apache/Tomcat, Jboss or related skill

· Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git

· Demonstrable knowledge in working with Hudson/Jenkins/Maven or similar

· Experience with Load Runner, JMeter, CloudTest, or similar
