GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for development and maintenance for the product which provides services to the asset management in education, learning and training market internationally. He/she will interact with the business to provide robust technical solutions to business problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Duty 1 – Project Responsibilities – 80%

- Help retrieve enough information to support customer business by figuring out solution

- Be responsible for development/maintenance of applications, related systems and tools, including analysis, design, implementation, unit testing and documentation

- Interact successfully with business owners, project managers and other technical teams

- Be responsible for identifying technical risks and look for mitigation plan

2.Duty 2 – Team Responsibilities - 15%

- Help mentor Junior developer

- Cross functional communication & customer interface

3.Duty 3 – Organizational Responsibilities - 5%

- Team training program

- Knowledge sharing and knowledge repository

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Competencies: Skills, knowledge, & abilities Functional Competencies:

- Expertise and experience in OO design and programming with C#

- Experience with SQL Server and Reporting Service.

- Experience in C#, ADO.Net, WinForm, CAB, WCF and WF.

- Knowledge of .NET Framework 4.0, UML and Design Patterns

- Experience with TFS preferred

- Experience with Agile development process is preferred.

- Have strong skills of debugging and bug fixing

- Good oral and written English Interpersonal Competencies:

- Good communication skills

- Work well in a team environment or individually, with a positive attitude

- Interact well with technical teams, business owners and project managers

- Ability to work under a fast paced delivery oriented environment

Leadership Competencies:

- Help mentor junior developer to develop the team

- Keep manager informed of progress, changes and issues with solution.

- Prioritize own activities so that all tasks are completed in a timely manner

- Demonstrate integrity, maturity and a constructive approach to challenges

2.Experience:

- 2+ years of experience in Software development including analysis, design, implementation, testing and support

- 2+ years of industrial experience in .Net

3.Minimum educational level:

- MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
