Senior Technical Program Manager
Position: Senior Technical Program Manager for the Microsoft Hardware products in China. This position understands the engineering design of Microsoft products and ensures that the products are shipped in highest quality during mass production. Successful candidate may lead a group of functional team (which include Contract Manufacturing) to drive yield improvement by understanding and resolving product failures and early returns. The candidate must be demonstrated excellent program & project management skill and able to lead a cross functional team to continue to drive product yield or any improvement project team. The candidate must possess excellent problem solving skill & DOE knowledge. Basic product design will be added advantage. In order to be successful in this position, this individual must effectively collaborate with both the contract manufacturer and a variety of peer groups across the organization, including, but not limited to, Factory Management, Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Test Engineering, Quality, and Hardware Development. The position is based in China (Suzhou or Shenzhen or Zhuhai). The candidate might require to travel frequently to support business needs. Description:
Responsible for Manufacturing Product Engineering leadership in support and sustaining of product quality/yield, in a high volume contract manufacturing environment. Provide program management support to new product introduction, quality/yield improvement. At sustaining phase, continue to set new product yield target and lead internal & CM teams for action plans to achieve new goals Identify key issues in sustaining of production, prioritize and assign resource to improve product quality, reduce scrap cost with good repair bone pile management. Work with key stakeholder to ensure no material supply issues. Drive engineering/quality continuous improvement and excursion prevention Work closely with Development, NPI, factory management, MTE, Reliability, Supplier Quality to improved product quality and manufacturing efficiencies. Report weekly status to Management.
Qualifications:
Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and shipping products of medium to high complexity Strong communication skills and must be able to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms Good in failure modes effects and analysis & apply structure problem solving methodology Understands entire product development and manufacturing processes related to high volume consumer electronics. Knowledge in computer architecture, system design and manufacturing environment Ability to understand basic test scripts and software programs will be added advantage Leadership to grow and build vital strong team.
