Title: Design Engineer
Reports To: Account Manager/ Operations Manager

Communicates With: Account Managers, Operations Staff, and External Vendors

Qualifications: 1. Mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university
2. Proficient in Pro Engineer, Solidworks, AI, or similar 3D CAD software
3. Ability to create aesthetically pleasing renderings and shop-ready drawings
4. Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin Chinese

Position Summary: The Design Engineer should have a mechanical engineering background and be good at design software. Responsibilities will include assist design specialist to design and engineering of custom displays and creation of quote drawings, production documents and bills of materials. This position will include direct interface with account managers, sourcing and logistics staff, design specialist and external vendors. The ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills and a very high attention to detail. Experience engineering products is required.

Position Goal: Assist account manager/operations manager to design and engineer retail displays and fixtures, maintain and manage product technical information, and provide a critical link between sales and operations

Position Information

Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain renderings, drawings, and additional technical documentation for all products and purchased items

· Assist account manager/operations manager to develop efficient packaging standards
· Update technical documents used in product sourcing, development and production as changes occur
· Coordinate closely with staff members regarding design and engineering details
· Communicate information both internally and externally to alleviate questions regarding specifications

Accountabilities
· Ensure renderings, drawings, and additional technical documentation for all products and purchased items are complete
· organized and updated as needed
· Work with account manager/operations manager to ensure client needs are achieved as they relate to design and engineering

· Work with operations team to ensure sizing, material, and additional product and packaging specifications are clearly understood by manufacturing partners

Skills Required
· Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
· Minimum 1-3 years experience engineering products
· Proficient in Pro Engineer, Solidworks, AI, or similar 3D CAD software
· Ability to work independently
· Strong organization skills and attention to detail
· A good learner with strong responsibility

Other Requirements or Preferences
· Proficiency with Word, Excel, PPT, PDF etc. required.
· Mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university
· Similar experience engineering metal, wood, and plastics products
