Overall Purpose of Job

l Cost Estimating Supervisor is a part of the Finance Department, Asia Pacific. The prime role is to produce cost estimates and business cases for quotations, Asia Pacific.



Major Responsibilities

List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of this position. Include quantifiable data where appropriate (i.e. budget dollars, etc.)



· Develop a responsive and capable cost estimating service through his/her direct staff and through the establishment of an effective network of contacts with cost specialists at the operating plants, this will include hiring and training and supervising staff

· Work with members of Asia Pacific CQA team to develop effective procedures, documentation and processes to delver quotations on a timely basis

· Prepare and manage the preparation of cost estimates and business cases for quotations by working with all functions in the organization.

· Develop and maintain the cost models to project product cost

· Maintain cost database

· Assist competitive analysis to develop competitors product cost

· Assist the manufacturing plants and Asia Pacific Management team with OPSP, the forecast process, and make vs. buy analysis

· Work with the cost specialists in Asia Pacific plants to ensure the standard cost system is maintained and updated on a timely basis

· Assist in special projects as required

Education & Work Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting. CPA/CMA/other professional certification preferred



Language: Strong English speaking and writing abilities



Experience: Over 5 years of finance or engineering experience preferably in a multinational environment. Plant experience in manufacturing industry or experience in the automotive manufacturing industry is a plus.
