Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Works with Program Manager, Application Engineer, Quality Engineer to launch new programs using APQP Program Management Plan (PMP)
• Design, install, debug and validate equipment and when necessary define specifications and develop Modine MOC (Machine Operating Characteristics) spec.
• Develop, update, and maintain ME process standard documents – PFMEA, Process Flow Chart, Work Instruction, PM plan, Startup Checklist, Troubleshooting guide, Spare parts list
• Strong knowledge and background in statistical tools – SPC, Process Capability, Pareto Analysis, Trend Charts etc.
• Participate and lead MPS (Modine Production System) deployment in MTSS shop floor as defined by Supervisor
• Assist with customer complaint and root cause investigation and be responsible for process problem solving using 8D, 5-Why tools.
• Involved in assisting production on all shifts with complex problems through minor changes in a manufacturing process, to a major modification of an existing piece of equipment
• As required, will write tool orders and requisition materials explaining the specific needs need to outside vendors, the tool room, or other sources to assure the build or repair of required tools.
• Provide work standards and measuring systems for determining the effective use of labor and maintain routings, provide capacity reports to assist in capital expenditure decisions.
• Recommend and facilitate process changes that result in Reduced Manufacturing Cost, Increased Throughput, Ergonomic/Safety Improvements, Improved Product Flow, and Improved Quality.
• Design or make recommendations for improving work station layouts for optimizing work areas prior to setting standards.
• Maintain a practical knowledge of operating systems and mechanical equipment throughout the plant.
• Works with outside vendors or contractors where needed on most projects and with representatives of division manufacturing engineering services and product engineering when needed.
• Works with all areas of plant engineering and production to provide the best manufacturing methods, and keeps Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor abreast of the status of established projects.

Position Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or similar field of study.
• Prefer 2 + years of experience in stamping press, cleaning, assembly, leak testing, brazing operations and automotive industry experience
• Strong analytical skills including knowledge of solid edge, and other computer based software – MS Office package, MS Project, Auto CAD, Solid Edge, Minitab
• Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English CET6.
• Good team worker in international teams.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and TS 16949 requirements is desirable
• Experience in automotive industry, lean manufacturing principles desirable
