Tasks Description

Position: Major Tasks
- To participate in internal or external projects to perform Front End Loading (Basic design) and detail engineering design.
- Responsible for rotating equipment engineering work, pump selection; preparing mechanical data sheets, technical specification, material requisition, vendor technical bid clarification /evaluation and vendor documentation review.
- Coordinate with disciplines i.e. Process, Piping, Civil / Structure, Electrical, Control Systems, etc.
- Coordinate with Vendor / Client in engineering design.
- Coordinate with back office in Germany
- Support estimating and proposal activities.
- Support procurement in shop survey and inspection.
- Site trouble shooting for the running plant rotating equipment
- Support RSE group head to establish the workflow and procedure for rotating equipment;
- Guide young engineer in project;



Requirements Description

Skills:
- Holds at least a Bachelor of Science degree with a mechanical design related major, and has a minimum of 12 years relevant professional experience. Experience in an international working environment is preferred;
- Has gained during his professional career deep know how in the areas of conceptual, basic and detail design including interface management with contractors, field engineering support of chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical or related plants;
- Very familiar with relevant national codes and standards such as API, ANSI standards
- Deep expertise in different type of rotating equipment, such as Pump, Compressors, Air cooler, Cooling tower etc. Some experience in convey machine.
- Very familiar with the engineering procedures and work flows;
- Proficient in using standard office software;
- Can communicate in Mandarin and English at a level fluent for an international working environment;
- Has a positive attitude towards technical and organizational challenges, regards undefined equipment design tasks as an invitation to develop new and optimal solutions for the client rather than as a weak work basis;
- Able to establish priorities, to organize, to work independently, and to proceed according to agreed objectives without continuous supervision;
- Able to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing;
- Able to work under pressure to meet challenging objectives in Mega-Projects
- Embraces the concept of long-life learning;
- Exhibits considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others;
- Shows a superior degree of diligence and maintains confidentiality as access to sensitive client data and documents is granted to the job holder.
- Willingness & capability to teach/guide young engineer in the team.
