Chinese Reservations Agent Job Description

Job Summary:

Offer support via telephone, email, fax, IM and our central reservation system to guests, travel agents, sales teams and partners throughout the whole booking cycle: pre-booking, pre-arrival, in-destination, and post travel, concerning hotel bookings, cancellations and modifications, tours, transfers and other travel destination services.

Additional duties may include preparing lists of expected arrivals, assisting in preregistration activities when appropriate, and processing advance reservation deposits, modifications and cancellations accordingly. Update availability of all distribution channels like GDS, OTA and Web booking systems. Good knowledge and understanding of the travel industry and excellent communication skills will be necessary.

Excellent verbal and written English and Mandarin are essential for this job.

Duties & Responsibilities:
? Handle all customer inquiries through phone call, emails, faxes, etc.
? Ensure that all queries and issues are settled promptly and accurately.
? Ensure that requests from customers are properly channelled to the correct person.
? Provide excellent customer service in both Chinese and English.
? Communicates with Hotels and TAs regarding reservations, modifications and cancellations.
? Promotes goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful when dealing with customers, travel agencies and sales teams
? High awareness of service processes and procedures, as well as Terms and Conditions.
? Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management within Support Services.

Prerequisites:
? University graduate or recognized diploma, preferably in Hotel & Tourism Management with at least 3 years of reservations experience in hotel or travel industries.
? Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
? Excellent level of both Mandarin and English are essential.
? Strong computer literacy with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
? Good customer service skills and attention to detail.
? Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-pace international environment.
