Scope:
Sales Manager will primarily focus on selling Intra-China Transportation Service while having direct influence on solution design and business implementation of sold opportunities. The candidate will also play a critical role in product design and go to market strategy for the Intra- China transportation services and be influential in developing this new service line. Additionally, there will be responsibility to build and manage a sales team and sales pipeline of China transportation opportunities. Key competencies and areas of accountability include: direct sales, some account management of new opportunities in the short term, and network cross-selling of transportation services – while contributing to a positive, healthy and efficient work environment.

Accountabilities:
? Direct Selling
? Lead Sales efforts, Business Development, Marketing, and Market Research activities for China Transportation Service line. 75% of time in direct selling.
? Sales Support/ Sales Team
? Provide sales support and build a sales team within the China Transportation Service line
? Work closely with C.H. Robinson Corporate Sales Team in Asia.
? Network Team Building
? Build strong connections within the C.H. Robinson China branch network to facilitate greater success in cross-selling transportation service to existing company accounts.
? Lead generation, prospecting, market research
? Experience in managing sales process
? Pricing new business

Profile of competencies and skills
? 5+ years Logistics/ Transportation sales experience
? Direct experience in the China domestic transportation industry is preferred but not required
? High level of buyer aligned sales skills
? Experience with RFP/RFI processes
? Strong communication skills
? Fluency in Mandarin
? Strong English communication is preferred
? Responds well to coaching and development
? Degree level and/or equivalent experience

? Direct Sales experience
? Strong strategic orientation, influence and negotiation skills and business savvy
? Strong relationship building skills
? Native Mandarin speaker and strong English communication is preferred
? Motivated to travel
? Motivated to be a growth driver and leader within a market leading new service line
? Strong market knowledge of China Transportation
? Ability to communicate and build effective working relationships with internal peers and colleagues across all divisions and departments
