Key Focus
. Review estimates prepared by internal and external sources.
· Prepare cost estimates for studies and capital projects’ appropriations at sites around the globe.
· Analyze direct and indirect material and labor cost, and manhours from completed project actuals.
· Manage cost and schedule for corporate projects and programs, including development and preparation of cost and schedule reports.
Accountabilities
· Prepare quality estimates for customers.
· Collect, analyze and report cost and schedule for corporate projects and programs.
Responsibilities
Review scope packages with internal/external customers to understand project scope prior to preparation of an estimate, and recommend scope options, additions, deletions. Prepare class 5 (factored) to class 1 (detailed) estimates in accordance with the scope of work and in collaboration with the Project Manager. Prepare factors and quantity take-offs, and estimate material, manpower, subcontractor, equipment, freight, taxes, duties, etc required by scope. Solicit from internal capital purchasers ballpark prices and/or quotes for estimates. As a project controls resource, help provide a "no surprise" philosophy, to maintain a high level of transparency of project costs, and facilitate a high level of communication. Allows our Project Mangers to focus more attention to project needs and improves their focus on execution and looking for the next problem area.
· Cost Control - Establish and execute controls to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual and forecasted cost, material quantities and labor hours.
· Progress Control - Establish and execute controls to support planning, scheduling, and status assessment for labor hours, progress to completion, earned value and project performance.
· Estimating - Provides estimating support for studies, appropriations, and change orders. Establish budgets for proper cost tracking. Identifies trends and forecasts of global material and labor costs.
· Material Quantity Trending - Work with Project Mangers to establish and execute controls to improve tracking of project progress and performance by monitoring key quantities in engineering design and construction.
· Change Management - Work with Project Managers to establish and execute controls to improve change management.
· Perform life-cycle cost analysis.

from various countries and cultures. Decipher needs, assess requirements and deliverables, and prepare/implement Solutions. Estimating, cost and schedule control expertise. Able to solve moderately complex problems and offer effective, and innovative solutions

Education Requirements:
BS in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management
Language Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication
Experience Requirements:
A minimum 10 years relevant chemical industry experience on small to mid-size projects ($1M to 500M)
Proficient with Microsoft Project
Experience with MS Office Suite
Experience with ERP systems
Experience desired but not required:
Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse

Experience with SAP
