Customer Technical Service (CTS) Engineer – Metal Alkyls and Bromine - Asia

Job description:
This position is to provide comprehensive technical support to our customers in the establishment of safe and controlled systems for the handling and use of our (organometallic, Bromine) products, as well as customer assistance (via e-mail, phone, or in person) to maintain the safety and secure handling of bromine and metal alkyl materials.

Activities within the job function include, providing:
? Product literature including handling procedure manuals, technical data sheets, etc…
? Safety programs which include periodic training of customers, transportation carriers, and government agencies.
? Annual Product Stewardship seminars.
? Response to global emergency situations - reachable on a 24 / 7 / 365 basis.
? Support for our manufacturing sites with knowledge and ideas for improving product quality and analytical methods.
? An interface directly with Albemarle Sales and Business personnel.
? On-site audits as well as being present for the first commercial unloading / start-up of Albemarle’s products.
? Assistance and investigation of incidents with Albemarle products at customers’ sites or during transportation.
? Customer advocacy within Albemarle to resolve customer issues.
? Information related to the development of industrial containers, loading / unloading techniques, product sampling, and equipment cleaning.

Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering or equivalent plant experience handling similar materials
? Experience and knowledge in the electronic (LED), metal alkyls, bromine, or environmental industries.
? Ability to prioritize and respond in a timely manner to multiple and differing customer specific inquiries.
? A willingness to travel within China (25% – 35%). Some travel outside of China (< 10%)
? Valid passport.
? Firefighting / first-aid / first-responder training a plus.
? English, language fluency (written and verbal)
? 5 – 7 years minimum experience in chemical manufacturing operations, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
? Problem-solving, computer, and multi-tasking skills required.
? Ability to safely and competently work independently.
