Key Responsibilities
· 8-10 bullets on role and responsibilities
· Lead Supply Chain enhancement projects to optimize material flow (i.e. Consignment programs, In Plant Stores, Schedule Agreements). Drive appropriate implementation strategies for optimum in-bound supply chain management
· Manage Procurement activities associated with major site transfer strategies and new facility start ups, minimizing the impact on inventory while ensuring a seamless transition of production operations. Coordinate system modifications required to support implementation and resolve all conflicts preventing the timely execution of these tasks. Help new sites with their localization efforts and strategic movement of supply base
· Lead and manage major system and process conversions. Activities may include system data cleansing, new system process development and ensuring accuracy of conversion
· Drive Purchasing Process Improvements through elimination of variation and waste, focusing on continuous process improvement. Help implement standard business practices globally in all purchasing locations. Develop and implement operating procedures to ensure consistent workflow and adherence to corporate policies
· Interface with Development Engineering on new product development projects, ensuring utilization of preferred suppliers and incorporation of supplier input in RA product development where applicable
· Maintain awareness of economic and industry situations and trends, which may impact the effectiveness of purchasing policies or procedures. Lead benchmark activities to ensure Rockwell practices are industry leading
· Scope may include management of Data and Process integrity. May include complex system and data analysis requirements and driving enhancements to current system functionality
· Lead and manage significant Plant and Commodity specific projects like cross docking elimination, reduction in need for external operations and sub-contracting, implementing outsourcing of product manufacturing, managing product line enhancements and series changes etc
· Participation in Supplier Excellence initiatives as assigned
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent experience. Advanced formal education desirable in business or technical discipline
· Minimum 5 years of supply chain/procurement, project management or operations management experience
· Institute of Supply Management - CPM certification desirable
· Project Management certification a plus
· ECC SAP Experience desirable
· Lean and Six Sigma training desirable
