Job objective
The cooling application specialist would provide sales and application support to Sales, Technology, and Marketing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
? Act as the regional or country technical expert in cooling oriented treatment. Provide applications engineering support to sales and service personnel in area of cooling water treatment.
? Work closely with sales, marketing, product management and technology to evaluate and support new business initiatives.
? Attend customer meetings and present appropriate technical information, best practice and Ashland capability.
? Perform technical audits and provide treatment recommendations in support of existing applications and new business opportunities.
? Conduct troubleshooting and offer data driven solutions to cooling water related problems.

Job requirements
? Bachelors or master degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related major.
? Good command of oral and written English.
? Direct experience in cooling water treatment.
? Minimum 10 years experience in water treatment industry. Minimum 5 years experience in product applications function.
? Strong oral communication skills. Comfortable developing and delivering technical presentations to senior leaders at customer sites and within Ashland.
? Strong written communication skills. Capable of writing technical documents and clearly express complex technical issue.
? Self-starter that can accept broad based assignments and work with limited direction from manager.
