Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly-motivated senior software manager to lead our Shanghai Backend Implementation team in Lattice Semiconductor, the source for innovative FPGA and PLD. You will be responsible for this team’s deliverables including enhancing, debugging, and supporting the existing backend tools, i.e. place and route, and design rule check. Specifically, your software management responsibilities will cover all software tool development phases which include functional specification, core algorithmic advances, software design/architecture, unit testing, and verification. You will also manage a group of software engineers contributing to final production level quality of new components and algorithms and to support new features and maintain existing code. Collaboration with US place and route team is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop state-of-art tools for new generation FPGA products
• Maintain current FPGA backend products
• Review and implement FPGA architecture specification and usage model
• Improve development methodologies and processes
• Grow up the Shanghai backend implementation team

Qualifications:

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with C/C++ on LINUX and/or WINDOWS platforms.
• 7+ years of industrial backend tool development experience supporting FPGA devices or ASIC.
• Experience of managing the development of large existing software systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge in place-and-route, and design rule check
• Individuals with strong desire and ability to explore new technologies and who are able to demonstrate excellent analysis and problem-solving skills are preferred.
• Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, self-disciplined with the ability to set the team goals and work consistently towards achieving them.
