Manager of the mechanical engineering department: People management.
Manage the capacity planning and competence build up of the mechanical engineering group. Plan capacity according the requirements of the project department and according the company’s business goals.
Responsible to support the pre-sales activities, work out a team which can work out concepts and solutions for our customers within the expected timeframes.
Responsible for the way of working within the engineering department. Align the WOW with the electrical engineering manager.
Take the lead in platform projects within the mechanical design group.
Competence leader for mechanical design. Advise and control the mechanical designers in the execution of their job.
Build up the competence of engineering by means of a competence matrix. Organize training, study or on the job training to achieve this goal.
Manage the organizational costs of the engineering department.
Facilitate a good cooperation between the departments, suppliers and customers.
Organize a motivating and stimulating work environment.

Requirements
? Master degree or above, major in Mechanical engineering, automation...
? experienced in using CAD tools and other design tools.
? 10+ years related experience, at least 5 years experience in industrial automation
? At least 5 years experience working in China.
? Experience with working in an international environment is an advantage.
? Proven experience in leading a technical group of people
? Communication skills
Fluently in Chinese and English (spoken and written)
Basic in English (written English: good + speaking English: basic and willingly to improve)

? Willing to travel abroad
