Brief Description
· Offer a customer focused HR operation service, which supports company culture and values; provides generalist expertise and support to employees in the implementation and delivery of HR practices.
· Be an internal contact to expatriates, external contact to GE, relocation services, agencies and relevant authorities for providing solid support for expat smooth settle-down at the beginning of the assignment and Repatriation arrangement at the end of the assignment.
· Based on the implementation of the company policy and local relevant law, to provide the advice and answer the questions from expats;
· In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning
· Strong technical expertise with IT basic infrastructure design, build and support
· Strong program management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication
· Ability to work autonomously and effectively and take initiative
· Ability to think strategically and deliver local decisions aligned with a global approach
· Excellent negotiating and consensus-building skills
· Established organizational abilities
· Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
Primary Responsibilities
· Responsible for supporting on-boarding / exit processes including employee consultation regarding these transactions,
· HR operations related policy and process training
· Build and maintain effective working relations with the leadership team and employees to advise on employee-related matters
· Provide support for recruitment and selection process
· The direct contact for expats to provide the advices and answer the requires based on the company/GE policy, China local relevant laws
· Authorize the service order to the local relocation agency for temp living, house search, housing lease sign-off and school search at the beginning; track the housing lease expiration date and coordinate the housing lease extension during the assignment and termination at the end of the assignment
· Work with immigration agency for visa/work permit/residence permit application at the beginning of the assignment, track the official legal documents expiration date and proceed with the respective extension on the assignment and work permit cancelation at the end of the assignment
· Prepare local documentations for inbound expats and is responsible for the enrollment of China Social Security at the beginning and termination of China Social Security per local government regulations
· Coordinate with related vendor to lease company car for qualified expatriates and their families
· Track and coordinate the third party payments related to expats such as housing rental, international school tuition, visa/work permit/residence permit fee, language training fee etc.
· Maintain and keep the accuracy of the expat related data
· Work with Tax Authority and tax advisory agent on Expat tax consultation
· Provide support on visa application and accommodation for employee outbound assignment
Qualifications Required
· Good command of English skill
· Excellent communicator, written & verbal, clear & concise
· Good organizational skills, detail oriented
· Experience of working with immigration, housing agency china social security
· 2 years HR/admin experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Qualifications Desired
· Great sense of integrity and confidentiality
· Project management experience preferred
