Job duties:

• To participate in the technical design and implementation of HSBC global and local communication systems to optimize performance, capacity, cost, quality and customer service;
• To be responsible for smooth day-to-day operation of the communication infrastructure in Mainland China by effective monitoring and technical supporting;
• To identify potential risks and work out contingency plans as well as the mitigation measures with due diligence and well coordinate the routine BCP/BRP drills for the responsible services;
• To commit BAU project delivery and operation support effectively and with in depth expertise on China voice network and contact centre infrastructure domains and stretch the capability to cover other CSS domains’ service delivery;
• to keep good communication with local engineering team and regional domains and maintain good relationship with external service suppliers.
• To participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and afternoon shift with one week per month.

Requirements

• Good understanding of the telecommunications environment in China with abilities to develop strong working relationship with key telecommunications equipment suppliers and carriers in China.
• Full understanding of China Telecommunications standards and regulations.
• Ability to understand the requirements of local HSBC group entities, to identify practical and innovative solutions for establishment of a common and uniform communication service infrastructure, conformance with Group standards and policies, and a commitment to implementation in timely and cost efficient manner.
• Excellent problem solving skill.
• 5+ years of ITO project and support experience; Hands-on skills on Cisco router/switch is a must and Nokia/Checkpoint firewall is a plus. CCNP Certification is preferred.
• Have ability to prioritize and multitask and willing to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works well under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering related)
