PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To secure transport solutions run according to contractual demands set with the service providers and that the solutions are continuously improved to secure availability.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Transport solutions
? To monitor, plan, and develop together with transport business developers transport operational set-ups that ensure service levels agreed within SC
? To work together with concerned IKEA SC stakeholders and with service providers to create optimal conditions at sending and receiving business units, to ensure preconditions for excellence in operations along delivery process

Communication & Working with others
? Support actively the transport planners with competence and knowledge as well as with "here and now" actions that will secure excellence in operations along delivery process
? Cooperate actively with coworkers within own and other transport areas in order to support each other actively with effective solutions to existing operational issues
? Set and maintain regular communication forums on local level with concerned operational SC stakeholders, where operational problems can be discussed and solutions can be agreed

Routines & Working methods
? Actively support transport operations manager with constructive input regarding existing and needed global & local transport related routines and working methods
? Monitor use of existing transport operational routines at internal and external stakeholders and partners

Operational follow-ups
? Prepare and distribute transport service follow-ups as stated in relevant global and local routines
? Monitor and act on data quality in CNS as stated in relevant global and local routines
? Prepare and distribute other operational follow-ups as stated in relevant global and local routines

Lead times
? To maintain all delivery lead times in Fulfilment toolbox

Quality & Claims
? To investigate claims related to supply quality and support, when necessary, the transport planners to resolve extra cost claims

KNOWLEDGE:
? University degree ( Transport, Logistics, Business Adm. ) or equivalent working experience
? Knowledge about rules and regulations (transport and international trading law) and the delivery process
? Fluent in English, both written and spoken
