Purpose of Job:
The position will report directly to Senior Director, Strategy and M&A, Asia. The individual will review and build M&A pipelines, manage and execute transaction the company pursues, and get involved in the integration process of acquired companies in China. This is a vital part of the inorganic growth strategy within Tyco. The position will be based in Shanghai.
Dimensions of Job:
1.This individual will review, analyse, and present potential targets in China for merger, acquisition and joint venture opportunities
2.Approach owners of targeted companies
3.Perform financial and quantitative analyses related to potential mergers & acquisitions, including cash flow models, income statements, and benchmarking against organizational metrics.
4.Perform strategic analysis related to potential merger transactions including value assessment, risk assessment, cultural fit, and impact.
5.Manage due diligence process working with internal teams and external advisors
6.Participate contract negotiation process
7.Lead closing process including clearance of regulatory approvals
8.Plan and drive integration process, working with related business unit leaders
Major Challenges:
This candidate must be able to influence others that do not report to him/her. The individual will have contact with the various senior business unit leaders and must be able to debate various issues. This individual will need to balance several different projects at one time and deliver each based on their respective deadlines.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge/Skills
Must-have
- 30-35 years old, with either an MBA degree of a CPA certificate
- 10 years’ work experience
- At least 5 years’ experience with MNC’s in China
- At least 3 years’ experience in either M&A or FP&A with an MNC
- Extensive modelling experience is a must.
- Responsible and accountable, with good skills to prioritize various tasks.
- Flexibility to quickly changing priorities.
- Good at informing and internal communications
- Excellent verbal and written English and native in Chinese
