Currently, we are looking to fill the following position:

Business Unit Manager (based in Shanghai)

You will manage the operations, sales & marketing of the businesses for Shanghai Office which include printing & premium gifts, magazine circulation, mail & parcel business, fulfillment and distribution logistics. This entails project management & customer service, operations, and business development.

The Job:
1,Manage the smooth functioning of the business unit with a view to improve the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness in order to meet the established business objectives and targets.
2,Business Development
(a)   Analyze and review existing clients with objective of enhancing existing level of services, e.g. through cross selling, product bundling, etc
(b)   Develop new businesses through research, networking, planning and prospecting
3,Project Management - manage a team of servicing executives and assistants to ensure that marketing solutions projects are handled in accordance with customer specifications and business objectives. These projects may include letter shopping, print management/distribution, remail, fulfillment, database and market response handling.
4,Operations – manage an operations team, consisting of personnel in warehouse, processing, sorting, transport and printing, to provide backend support to customer service to ensure that jobs are executed effectively and efficiently.
5,Customer Service - establish customer service benchmark and develop measuring tools to monitor and improve
6,Liaise with Corporate Office on a regular basis relating to budgets, plans, revenue and activity reports, including managing the local debtors/creditors relationship
7,Act as mentor or guide in ensuring understanding and familiarity of the company / product knowledge, systems, policies & procedures
8,Any other special project as assigned

The Person:
Experienced in heading and managing a growing operations in the service industry and possess tertiary education, or equivalent combination of qualification and experience.
Effectively bi-lingual in Mandarin / English, and has excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Is business-focused, and has a good track record in either business development, sales / marketing and management
Other desirable attributes include being IT savvy, a leader and team player, a change-agent, innovative and creative
Experience in print production and /or distribution, plus knowledge of air transportation and postal regulations will be advantageous. Other related experience in managing direct marketing, such as direct mail, marketing response /campaigns,will also be useful.
