职位描述
1. Lead Power Train Homologation activity to attain Emissions Certification within the Chinese market. Must have proven experience of delivering certified products within China and must fully understand the emissions durability preparation and sign-off process and the different authorities required for Chinese approval. Must have good programme management skills and ensure delivery to the programme gateways.
2. Manage all of the Power Train Certification activities and run the whole certification project including planning the whole project, ordering the vehicles, preparing the vehicles for test, booking the test facility to ensure all pre-tests are complete, supporting the homologation activity and preparing the detailed certification documentation input.
May be required to outsource some work, this will entail writing the technical specifications to an Engineering Service Provider.
Should be capable of independently planning and budgeting activities for Power Train certification and emissions.
3. As the Power Train Certification & Emissions Senior Engineer, you will manage all of the Power Train certification activities and support the vehicle Homologation team to deliver government approval. You will be required to own the plan, work with the Vehicle Engineering team to order vehicles. You will liaise with Programme Leaders, Test team, JLR UK Certification and work alongside the China JV Vehicle Homologation team. Must be able to present complex issues at senior leadership reviews and be able to assess government legislation and translate them into working practices and test process.
1.Degree in Engineering / Engineering related field (BEng / BSC) – BEng Mechanical Engineering Desirable
2.At least 8 year relevant Powertrain Engineering and Programme experience with a high level of understanding of Powertrain Systems, Certification, Calibration with 3 years managing a team.
3.Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
4.Experience of Chinese market certification requirements
5.Outsourcing experience (either from within an OEM or through working as an outsource supplier) and supplier management experience.
6. Willing to travel within China and Internationally
7. Willing to take the lead and challenge others to deliver
8. Good broad component working knowledge across the Powertrain Engineering commodity groups (Engine, transmission, driveline, AIS, Exhaust, Cooling and Integration) and Powertrain Integration.
