FACILITY Manager

I. Position Overview:

The position is responsible for facility management and assisting in EHS activities for the China CSS site. This involves setting up and executing an effective facility/equipment maintenance system in compliance with cGMP requirements, developing, recommending and implementing programs to promote safe and healthy working conditions.

II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

l Responsible for facility and equipment management, which may include, generation/review of the facility management system per the quality requirement, generation and implementation of facility annual maintenance plan, management of facility vendors, coordination of facility repair activities, etc.

l Provide professional operations engineering and process re-engineering service support to the Operations as well as the other functional departments, with the aim to continuously improve processes.

l Support and coordinate EHS implementation following global guidelines and procedures. This may include:

u Develop and implement site wide health, safety, environment. and emergency management programs designed to respond to potential situations to enhance site overall business continuity and site safety

u Take action/steps to identify, assess and recommend control measures or corrective and preventive action(s) for environmental health and safety concerns.

u Manage site hazardous wastes, spill response, hazardous materials treatment, other environmental compliance programs

u Develop training materials on safety and health related subjects as needed, work with training department to develop and deploy educational EHS information.

u Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments that apply to tasks, departments, and the overall site that includes, but is not limited to chemical use, machine safeguarding, ergonomics, walking-working surfaces, material handling, etc. to reduce risk, promote regulatory compliance and prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.

u Conduct EHS audits, self-assessments, and inspections at site to ensure EHS regulatory and company compliance.

u Engage in change management activities that include providing proactive guidance and recommendation for new equipment, ergonomic correct line set up’s, procurement and disposal of environmentally friendly products.

u Assist in EHS record-keeping requirements to ensure compliance.

u Keep up-to-date on current local regulations, legislation and in EHS codes and regulations

u Other duties as assigned.

pOSITION rEQUIREMENTS:

• College degree or above in engineering/manufacturing or other relevant disciplines.
• >5 years relevant work experiences gained in facility management, equipment maintenance and EHS implementation; experience in work in pharmaceutical industry will be an advantage.
• Familiar with the cGMP quality requirements for facility/equipment operation,
• Experienced in managing equipment/facility vendors
• Have a good command of English, familiar with Windows office applications
• Good communication skills. Feel comfortable working in a global environment.
