OVERVIEW:
The position as automation and system design engineer involves development, implementation and maintenance of process control systems for SSAB APAC

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participating in projects as expert and advisor in the field
Maintaining, monitoring and developing ProView process control systems
Maintaining and monitoring Debian Linux
Educating and supporting end users.
Maintaining and monitoring hardware and software
Creating routines for restore and troubleshooting
Participating in and supporting the IT team in SSAB group
As needed being a part of the helpdesk team
Ensuring IT is aligned within SSAB group
Managing areas of the data center with the IT group

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree in IT Engineering or equivalent major, especially focus study in the field of system design and automation
1 or 2 years’ working experience in related area
Knowledge in Linux and Oracle
Knowledge about relational databases
Having experience with object-oriented design, preferable in C/C++
Having experience with process control systems
Tuning and performance monitoring in Linux
Good knowledge in PL/SQL language
Good communication skills (oral and written) in technical solutions
Knowledge about programming in NET language or Java
Fresh graduates willing to learn are welcomed
