Duties & Responsiblities:

• To be responsible for the general, operational, financial and administrative Management of existing cargo insurance sales operations and the support of the formation of a Commercial Insurance Brokers operations in China.
• The candidate will be responsible to sell marine insurance to KN clients only.
• Following accreditation of the local Insurance Broker entity it will be the task to sell commercial insurance products to domestic companies, importers, exporters, freight forwarders and other parties. Focus is on the sale of marine cargo insurance, especially through Kuehne + Nagel and other freight forwarders. This involves personal active sales calls to potential clients.
• To maintain and develop existing cargo insurance book of business as well as the acquisition of new clients in order to achieve outstanding growth rates in China.
• Maintain and develop relationships with corporate insurance partners and NACORA Hkg as service station for underwriting and claims handling.
• To provide sales tools, materials and day to day support to the Kuehne + Nagel staff on marine insurance matters.
• To conduct effective management of internal and external trainings on cargo insurance sale, marine insurance risks and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• To contribute to increased cargo insurance sale by developing innovative cargo insurance products for KN clients
• Development of the cargo insurance client account and financial results thereof
• Support Hongkong Insurance Sales in the formation of a local Insurance Broker entity and establishment of all licenses and qualifications
• Integrate KN Sure cargo Insurance product family into KN sales processes, products and tender responses
  Overall office management to be slim, efficient and of superior quality
• Implementation of a KN Branch training scheme on cargo insurance
• Overall relationship development with Nationa Kuehne + Nagel Management, National sales and the implementation of cargo insurance sales targets on branch level
• Compliance with all local law’s and insurance regulations
  
  Requirements:
• 5-7 Years of experience in Insurance Business with a reputable insurer or Insurance Broker with basic university diploma in economics
• Holds all required licenses and qualifications to become the director of a national insurance broking firm
  Knowledge of the freight forwarding business, Im-Export Trade
• Experience in marine cargo insurance claims Handling
• Strong detail-orientation, and co-ordination and organisation skills. Proven experience and ability in organising and prioritising workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese / English
• Demonstrate a proactive approach and the ability to organise to achieve results, quickly absorbing and interpreting new/complex information
• Ability to communicate at the right level to the target audience, ensuring a quick turnaround in response to queries, using well constructed and persuasive arguments to influence others
• A high degree of influencing skills with the ability to anticipate and plan for potential objections when making proposals
• Maintain high levels of energy and stamina
• Generate new ideas to improve performance, translating these ideas into practical solutions
  Advance personal computer skills and demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access data base.
• A minimum of 5 years in a relevant position
